She married 2nd January 1917 George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston, son of Alfred Nathaniel Holden Curzon 4th Baron Scarsdale and Blanche Pocklington Senhouse Baroness Scarsdale.
On 17th January 1853 Alva Erskine Smith was born to Murray Forbes Smith at 201 Government Street. She married (1) 20th April 1875 William Kissam Vanderbilt and had issue.
In 1856 Mary Virginia "Jennie" Smith was born to Murray Forbes Smith at 201 Government Street. She married 22nd September 1880 Fernando Yznaga Banker.
On 2nd July 1909 Arthur Cowell-Stepney 2nd Baronet [aged 74] died. He was found dead at Yuma Railway Station. Baronet Cowell Stepney of Llanelli in Carmarthenshire extinct.
After his father died on 16th November 1727 his uncle Richard Annesley 6th Earl Anglesey [aged 34] arranged for Arthur Annesley 4th Baron Altham [deceased] to be kidnapped so that he wouldn't inherit his father's titles or estates. In 1737 he would also have inherited the estates of his cousin Arthur Annesley 5th Earl Anglesey [aged 47]. He was shipped to a plantation in Delaware and sold into indentured servitude.
In May 1952 Minna Field died at Coconut Grove.

She married 26th December 1904 Henry Molyneux Paget Howard 19th Earl Suffolk 12th Earl Berkshire, son of Henry Charles Howard 18th Earl Suffolk 11th Earl Berkshire and Mary Eleanor Coventry Countess Suffolk and Berkshire, and had issue.
On 14th March 1880 Hazel Martyn was born to Edward Jenner Martyn at Chicago. She married (1) 1903 Edward Livingston Trudeau Junior (2) 1909 John Lavery.
Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough
A canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: 'In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed.'

The History of William Marshal was commissioned by his son shortly after William’s death in 1219 to celebrate the Marshal’s remarkable life; it is an authentic, contemporary voice. The manuscript was discovered in 1861 by French historian Paul Meyer. Meyer published the manuscript in its original Anglo-French in 1891 in two books. This book is a line by line translation of the first of Meyer’s books; lines 1-10152. Book 1 of the History begins in 1139 and ends in 1194. It describes the events of the Anarchy, the role of William’s father John, John’s marriages, William’s childhood, his role as a hostage at the siege of Newbury, his injury and imprisonment in Poitou where he met Eleanor of Aquitaine and his life as a knight errant. It continues with the accusation against him of an improper relationship with Margaret, wife of Henry the Young King, his exile, and return, the death of Henry the Young King, the rebellion of Richard, the future King Richard I, war with France, the death of King Henry II, and the capture of King Richard, and the rebellion of John, the future King John. It ends with the release of King Richard and the death of John Marshal.

On 3rd June 1985 Sidney Montagu 11th Duke of Manchester [aged 56] died at Robin Hood Ranch, Tennessee. He was buried at St Andrew's Church, Kimbolton [Map]. His brother Angus [aged 46] succeeded 12th Duke Manchester, 15th Earl Manchester, 15th Viscount Mandeville, 15th Baron Montagu of Kimbolton.
On 7th April 1959 Wayman Adams [aged 75] died. He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Travis County.
On 4th December 1917 Anne Ferelith Bowes-Lyon was born to John "Jock" Bowes-Lyon [aged 31] and Fenella Hepburn-Stuart-Forbes-Trefusis [aged 28] at Washington DC. She married (1) before 25th April 1939 Thomas William Anson, son of Thomas Edward Anson 4th Earl Lichfield and Evelyn Maud Keppel Countess Lichfield, and had issue (2) 16th September 1950 Prince George Valdemar Carl Axel of Denmark, son of Prince Axel of Denmark and Princess Ingeborg Glücksburg.
On 12th December 1940 Philip Kerr 11th Marquess Lothian [aged 58] died at Washington DC.
On 2nd June 1886 President Grover Cleveland [aged 49] and Frances Clara Folsom [aged 21] were married. Being a friend of her fathers he had known her since she was a child. When her father died he had been appointed her guardian. There was a twenty-seven year age gap. The wedding took place in the Blue Room since he was President at the time; the only President to be married at the White House. She, at aged twenty-one, was the youngest First Lady in history. The difference in their ages was 27 years.

On 29th April 1935 Jean Margaret Wallop Countess of Carnarvon was born to Oliver Malcolm Wallop [aged 29] at Big Horn, Sheridan. She married 7th January 1956 her third cousin Henry Herbert 7th Earl of Carnarvon, son of Henry Herbert 6th Earl Carnarvon and Anne Catherine Tredick Wendell Countess Carnarvon, and had issue.
