Maternal Family Tree: Henrietta Maria Dillon Baroness Stanley Alderley and Eddisbury 1807-1895
On 31st December 1874 [his father] Algernon Freeman-Mitford 1st Baron Redesdale (age 37) and [his mother] Clementina Gertrude Helen Ogilvy (age 20) were married.
On 14th December 1876 Clement Freeman-Mitford was born to Algernon Freeman-Mitford 1st Baron Redesdale (age 39) and Clementina Gertrude Helen Ogilvy (age 22). The second of nine children.
On 15th November 1899 Clement Freeman-Mitford (age 22) was commissioned into the 10th Hussars, promoted to lieutenant on 3rd October 1900, captain 10th October 1904, major 7th August 1912. He took part in the operations in the Orange Free State, including actions at Houtnek (Thoba fountain), Vet River and Zand River; in the Transvaal in May and June 1900, including actions near Johannesburg, Pretoria and Diamond Hill; in the Transvaal, west of Pretoria, to 29 Nov 1900, including action at Elands River; in Orange River Colony, including action at Wittebergen; again in the Transvaal 30 Nov 1900 to July 1901, and operations in Cape Colony, Aug 1901 (twice wounded, slightly and severely; Queen's Medal with four clasps).
On 14th May 1904 Clement Freeman-Mitford (age 27) was appointed adjutant of the 10th Hussars. He was wounded twice during the Boer War.
On 25th November 1909 Clement Freeman-Mitford (age 32) and Helen Alice Wyllington Ogilvy (age 19) were married at the Private Chapel, Cortachy Castle, Angus. They had two daughters, Rosemary and Clementine who both died in 2005. She the daughter of David Ogilvy 11th Earl of Airlie and Mabell Gore Countess Airlie (age 43). They were first cousins.

His death occurred in heroic circumstances, during an attack made by the 10th Hussars that also resulted in the deaths of the CO Lt-Col Shearman and Captain Gerald Stewart. Clem, as he was called by his fellow officers, lived at Batsford Park, Moreton-in-Marsh.
On 13th May 1915 Clement Freeman-Mitford (age 38) was killed in action at the Battle of Loos. He was buried at Grave Reference: I. E. 8., Vlamertinghe Military Cemetery, Vlamertinghe, Arrondissement Ieper, West Flanders, Belgium. The wrought iron gates at the cemetery were presented in his memory by the family of the late [his father] Algernon Bertram Freeman-Mitford (age 78), Lord Redesdale and [his mother] Clementina (age 60), Lady Redesdale.
On 11th July 1918 Henry Courtney Brocklehurst (age 30) and [his former wife] Helen Alice Wyllington Ogilvy (age 27) were married. She the daughter of [his uncle] David Ogilvy 11th Earl of Airlie and [his former mother-in-law] Mabell Gore Countess Airlie (age 52).
In 1931 Henry Courtney Brocklehurst (age 42) and [his former wife] Helen Alice Wyllington Ogilvy (age 40) were divorced.
On 21st February 1933 Harold Bligh Nutting (age 51) and [his former wife] Helen Alice Wyllington Ogilvy (age 42) were married. She the daughter of [his uncle] David Ogilvy 11th Earl of Airlie and [his former mother-in-law] Mabell Gore Countess Airlie (age 66).
In December 1973 [his former wife] Helen Alice Wyllington Ogilvy (age 83) died.
