Chronicle of a Bourgeois of Valenciennes
Récits d’un bourgeois de Valenciennes aka The Chronicle of a Bourgeois of Valenciennes is a vivid 14th-century vernacular chronicle written by an anonymous urban chronicler from Valenciennes in the County of Hainaut. It survives in a manuscript that describes local and regional history from about 1253 to 1366, blending chronology, narrative episodes, and eyewitness-style accounts of political, military, and social events in medieval France, Flanders, and the Low Countries. She by marriage Countess Warwick. He the son of [his grandfather] Robert Rich 5th Earl Warwick 2nd Earl Holland and [his grandmother] Anne Montagu Countess Warwick and Holland.
In January 1698 Edward Rich 7th Earl Warwick 4th Earl Holland was born to [his father] Edward Rich 6th Earl Warwick 3rd Earl Holland [aged 25] and [his mother] Charlotte Myddelton Countess Warwick and Holland [aged 18].
On 31st July 1710 [his father] Edward Rich 6th Earl Warwick 3rd Earl Holland [aged 37] died. His son Edward [aged 12] succeeded 7th Earl Warwick, 4th Earl Holland, 9th Baron Rich of Leez.
Before 1711 Francis Edwardes [aged 53] and [his aunt] Elizabeth Rich were married. She brought substantial estates including Holland House to the marriage being the heiress of her nephew Edward Rich 7th Earl Warwick 4th Earl Holland [aged 12]. She the daughter of [his grandfather] Robert Rich 5th Earl Warwick 2nd Earl Holland and [his grandmother] Anne Montagu Countess Warwick and Holland.
In 1718 Edward Rich 7th Earl Warwick 4th Earl Holland [aged 19] was appointed Gentlemen of the Bedchamber to George, Prince of Wales [aged 34].
On 19th May 1719 Edward Rich 7th Earl Warwick 4th Earl Holland [aged 21] was appointed Gentlemen of the Bedchamber to King George I [aged 58].
On 16th August 1721 Edward Rich 7th Earl Warwick 4th Earl Holland [aged 23] died. His second cousin Edward [aged 26] succeeded 8th Earl Warwick, 5th Earl Holland, 10th Baron Rich of Leez. Mary Stanton Countess Warwick and Holland by marriage Countess Warwick, Countess Holland.
