In December 1860 Ellis William Roberts was born to [his father] Thomas Roberts at Wolstanton, Staffordshire in Burslem, Staffordshire. He is recorded on the 1861 Census, taken on 07 Apr 1861, as being five months.

On 6th October 1888 Ellis William Roberts [aged 27] and Eliza Glover [aged 21] were married at St John's Church Fulham, Middlesex. Both were living at 24 Cedar Road at the time of their marriage.

Eliza Glover: Around 1867 she was born to Joseph Glover at Longton, Staffordshire.

Susannah West Wilson: On 15th May 1864 she was born to Arthur Wilson. In January 1887 John Graham Menzies and she were married. In 1912 George Holford and she were married at the Chapel Royal, St James's Palace. King George VI of the United Kingdom, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon Queen Consort England, Alexandra of Denmark Queen Consort England and Princess Victoria Windsor were present. The Times reported ... "The aisle was lined by non-commissioned officers of the bridegroom's old regiment the 1st Life Guards. The bride who was given away by her two sons, wore a gown of old Point d'Alençon lace with a train of gold brocade veiled in chiffon. Instead of a hat she wore a headdress of gold lace and pink roses and she carried a bouquet of orchids ... The King and Queen gave Sir George Holford a pair of sleeve links bearing the Royal monogram in diamonds and rubies." On 15th December 1943 Susannah West Wilson died.

Around 1890 [his son] Robert Ellis Roberts was born to Ellis William Roberts [aged 29] and [his wife] Eliza Glover [aged 23].

Samuel Allsopp 2nd Baron Hindlip: On 24th March 1842 he was born. In 1868 he and Georgiana Millicent Palmer-Moorewood Baroness Hindlip were married. On 12th July 1897 he died.

Edith Howard Lady Cunard: she was born to Colonel John Stanley Howard of Ballina Park. In 1889 Gordon Cunard 4th Baronet and she were married. In 1925 Bache Cunard 3rd Baronet died. His brother Gordon succeeded 4th Baronet Cunard of Bush Hill in Middlesex. She by marriage Lady Cunard of Bush Hill in Middlesex. On 23rd April 1927 she died.

Margaret Rachel Scott: On 5th April 1874 she was born to John Scott 3rd Earl Eldon. On 27th April 1897 Frederick Gustavus Hamilton-Russell and she were married. She the daughter of John Scott 3rd Earl Eldon. They were first cousins. On 27th January 1938 Margaret Rachel Scott died.

Enid Edith Wilson Countess Chesterfield: On 10th September 1878 she was born to Charles Henry Wilson 1st Baron Nunburnholme and Florence Jane Helen Wellesley Baroness Nunburnholme. On 15th February 1900 Edwyn Scudamore Stanhope 10th Earl of Chesterfield and she were married at St Mark's Church North Audley Street. She by marriage Countess Chesterfield. They initially lived at Holme Lacy House, Herefordshire [Map]. The difference in their ages was 24 years. He the son of Henry Edwyn Chandos Scudamore Stanhope 9th Earl of Chesterfield and Dorothea Hay Countess Chesterfield. On 30th November 1957 Enid Edith Wilson Countess Chesterfield died.

Deeds of King Henry V

Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

On 24th September 1930 Ellis William Roberts [aged 69] died at the Queens Hotel Brighton. His will was proved 31st December 1930 the summary of which reads:

Ellis William of 6 William Street Lowndes Square Westminster Middlesex and of 12 Wexford Road Wandsworth Common Surrey died 24 Sep 1930 at Queens Hotel Brighton. Probate London 31 December to Eliza Roberts widow [his son] Robert Ellis Roberts [aged 40] schoolmaster Walter Kearsey Smith cashier and Millicent Elsie Fraser (wife of Ronald Fraser). Effects £12732 2s 8d. Resworn £12832 15s 3d.
