Biography of George Denys 1st Baronet 1788-1857

On 20th May 1788 George Denys 1st Baronet was born to [his father] Peter Denys (age 28) and [his mother] Charlotte Fermor (age 22).

On 5th December 1809 George Denys 1st Baronet (age 21) and Elizabeth Lind were married.

On 11th December 1811 [his son] George William Denys 2nd Baronet was born to George Denys 1st Baronet (age 23) and [his wife] Elizabeth Lind.

In 1812 George Denys 1st Baronet (age 23) was elected MP Kingston upon Hull which seat he held until 1818.

On 23rd November 1813 George Denys 1st Baronet (age 25) was created 1st Baronet Denys of Stratford Place.

Before 1816 [his father] Peter Denys (age 55) and [his mother] Charlotte Fermor (age 49) were married. With her income of £4,000 a year, he bought Sloane Place in London, and Fremington, Yorkshire. She the daughter of [his grandfather] George Fermor 2nd Earl Pomfret and [his grandmother] Anna Maria Delagard Countess Pomfret.

In 1816 [his father] Peter Denys (age 56) died.

On 29th June 1828 [his wife] Elizabeth Lind died.

In 1835 [his mother] Charlotte Fermor (age 69) died.

On 20th May 1835 George Denys 1st Baronet (age 47) and Catherine Elizabeth Perceval were married.

On 6th October 1841 [his son-in-law] Reverend Frederick William Robertson (age 25) and [his daughter] Helen Denys were married.

On 26th April 1857 George Denys 1st Baronet (age 68) died. His son George (age 45) succeeded 2nd Baronet Denys of Stratford Place.

[his daughter] Helen Denys was born to George Denys 1st Baronet and Elizabeth Lind. She married 6th October 1841 Reverend Frederick William Robertson and had issue.
