On 26th November 1534 Henry Berkeley 7th Baron Berkeley was born to [his father] Thomas Berkeley 6th Baron Berkeley and [his mother] Anne Savage Baroness Berkeley [aged 38].
In October 1546 [his mother] Anne Savage Baroness Berkeley [aged 50] died. She was buried at St Michael's Church, Coventry.

Around 1564 [his daughter] Frances Berkeley was born to Henry Berkeley 7th Baron Berkeley [aged 29] and [his wife] Katherine Howard Baroness Berkeley [aged 26]. She married after 21st February 1587 George Shirley 1st Baronet and had issue.

Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke
Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson.

On 11th January 1564 Richard Southwell [aged 61] died at Windham Manor, Norfolk. He was buried in the north side of the chancel of St Nicholas' Church, Woodrising [Map]. His will of 24 Jul 1561, to which he had added a codicil on the day of his death, was proved on 22 June by Norfolk, Thomas Cornwallis and Thomas aka Francis Gawdy [aged 36]. He bequeathed over 10,000 sheep to members of his family and left his personal armour to his 'cousin and friend' Henry Bedingfield [aged 55] and other armour to the young [his brother-in-law] 4th Duke of Norfolk [aged 27], whom he named an executor
In 1567 [his brother-in-law] Thomas Howard 4th Duke of Norfolk [aged 30] and Elizabeth Leybourne Duchess Norfolk [aged 31] were married. She by marriage Duchess Norfolk, Countess Surrey.
On 17th May 1569 George Dacre 5th Baron Dacre Gilsland 9th Baron Greystoke [aged 8] died. Baron Greystoke abeyant. There was a dispute as to whether his uncle Leonard Dacre should inherit Baron Dacre Gilsland which would be the case if it was created by letters patent, or whether the Barony was in abeyance between the 5th Baron's three sisters which would be the case of the barony had been created through a writ of summons. Such decisions would normally be referred to the [his brother-in-law] Duke of Norfolk [aged 33] in his capacity as Earl Marshal but he, Thomas Howard 4th Duke of Norfolk, had married Elizabeth Leybourne Duchess Norfolk, the mother of the three daughters although she had died in the meantime; he was not impartial - the three daughters were now his step-daughters. The matter was referred to Commissioners who decided the Barony had been created by writ between and was, therefore, abeyant between the three daughters who were now the step-daughters of Thomas Howard 4th Duke of Norfolk. He, Thomas Howard 4th Duke of Norfolk subsequently married his eldest son Philip Howard 13th or 20th Earl of Arundel [aged 11] to his eldest step-daughter Anne Dacre Countess Arundel [aged 12]. After Thomas Howard's execution in 1572 the two remaining daughters, Mary Dacre [aged 5] and Elizabeth Dacre [aged 4] were married to his two remaining sons Thomas Howard 1st Earl Suffolk [aged 7] and William Howard [aged 5] respectively ensuring all of the Dacre and Greystoke wealth and estates in Cumberland, Yorkshire and Northumberland would become the property of the Howard family.
On 2nd June 1572 [his brother-in-law] Thomas Howard 4th Duke of Norfolk [aged 36] was executed for his involvement in the Ridolphi Plot. He was buried at St Peter ad Vincula Church, Tower of London [Map]. Duke Norfolk, Earl Surrey, Baron Mowbray, Baron Segrave forfeit.
On 15th July 1575 [his son] Thomas Berkeley was born to Henry Berkeley 7th Baron Berkeley [aged 40] and [his wife] Katherine Howard Baroness Berkeley [aged 37]. He married before 1601 his third cousin once removed Elizabeth Carey, daughter of George Carey 2nd Baron Hunsdon and Elizabeth Spencer Baroness Hunsdon and Eure, and had issue.
On 1st September 1582 [his sister] Elizabeth Berkeley Countess Ormonde and Ossory [aged 47] died. She was buried in Westminster Abbey [Map].
After 21st February 1587 [his son-in-law] George Shirley 1st Baronet [aged 27] and [his daughter] Frances Berkeley [aged 23] were married.
Before 30th June 1593 [his sister-in-law] Jane Howard Countess of Westmoreland died.
On 29th December 1595 [his daughter] Frances Berkeley [aged 31] died. She was buried at Church of St Mary and St Hardulph, Breedon on the Hill [Map]. Monument to Frances Berkeley and [his son-in-law] George Shirley 1st Baronet [aged 36]. The armorial shows

On 7th April 1596 [his wife] Katherine Howard Baroness Berkeley [aged 58] died at Caludon, Coventry. She was buried at Draper's Chapel, St Michael's Church, Coventry.
On 9th March 1598 Henry Berkeley 7th Baron Berkeley [aged 63] and Jane Stanhope Baroness Berkeley [aged 51] were married at St Giles without Cripplegate Church [Map]. She by marriage Baroness Berkeley.
Before 1601 [his son] Thomas Berkeley [aged 25] and [his daughter-in-law] Elizabeth Carey [aged 24] were married. They were third cousin once removed.
On 1st August 1603 [his step-son] John Townshend [aged 35] was killed in a duel on horseback with Matthew Browne [aged 40] at Hounslow Heath [Map].
Matthew Browne died the following day.
On 22nd November 1611 [his son] Thomas Berkeley [aged 36] died. He was buried at St Michael's Church, Coventry.
On 26th November 1613 Henry Berkeley 7th Baron Berkeley [aged 79] died. He was buried at St Mary's Church, Berkeley. His grandson George [aged 12] succeeded 8th Baron Berkeley.
In 1618 [his former wife] Jane Stanhope Baroness Berkeley [aged 71] died.
[his son] Ferdinando Berkeley was born to Henry Berkeley 7th Baron Berkeley and Katherine Howard Baroness Berkeley.
Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.
