Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses

Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

Biography of John Buller 1721-1786

Paternal Family Tree: Buller

On 22nd July 1716 [his father] John Francis Buller (age 21) and [his mother] Rebecca Trelawny (age 20) were married. She the daughter of [his grandfather] Bishop Jonathan Trelawny 3rd Baronet (age 66).

On 24th January 1721 John Buller was born to [his father] John Francis Buller (age 25) and [his mother] Rebecca Trelawny (age 25).

On 25th October 1738 John Buller (age 17) matriculated Balliol College, Oxford University.

In 1740 John Buller (age 18) entered Middle Temple and Inner Temple in 1743. He was called to the bar in February 1747.

In 1743 [his mother] Rebecca Trelawny (age 47) died.

In 1746 John Buller (age 24) was elected MP East Looe.

In 1746 John Buller (age 24) was mayor of East Looe.

On 23rd June 1751 [his father] John Francis Buller (age 56) died.

In 1754 John Buller (age 32) was elected MP East Looe and appointed Comptroller of the Mint.

On 24th December 1764 [his son] Edward Buller 1st Baronet was born to John Buller (age 43) and [his wife] Mary St Aubyn.

In 1767 [his wife] Mary St Aubyn died.

On 4th November 1768 John Buller (age 47) and Elizabeth Caroline Hunter were married.

On 3rd October 1773 [his son] Lieutenant-General Frederick William Buller was born to John Buller (age 52) and [his wife] Elizabeth Caroline Hunter.

In 1784 [his brother] Bishop William Buller (age 49) was elected Dean of Exeter.

On 26th July 1786 John Buller (age 65) died.
