Before 1654 [his father] Christopher Guise 1st Baronet (age 36) and [his mother] Rachel Corsellis were married.
Around 1654 John Guise 2nd Baronet was born to Christopher Guise 1st Baronet (age 37) and Rachel Corsellis.
On 3rd December 1669 John Guise 2nd Baronet (age 15) matriculated Christ Church College, Oxford University.
In 1670 [his father] Christopher Guise 1st Baronet (age 53) died. His son John (age 16) succeeded 2nd Baronet Guise of Elmore in Gloucestershire.
In 1674 John Guise 2nd Baronet (age 20) and Elizabeth Howe Lady Guise were married. She by marriage Lady Guise of Elmore in Gloucestershire.
Around 1677 [his son] John Guise 3rd Baronet was born to John Guise 2nd Baronet (age 23) and [his wife] Elizabeth Howe Lady Guise.
Roger Whitley's Diary. 14th January 1690. Tuesday, went to Parliment dined at home with brother, Roger, Thomas &c; went to Committe; then home with Sir John Guise (age 36), Smith; Dutton walked with Mainwaring; Sir Scroope How came to us; then G.Mainwaring (age 47) wee parted past 11.
In November 1695 John Guise 2nd Baronet (age 41) died of smallpox. He was buried in St John the Baptist's Church, Elmore. His son [his son] John (age 18) succeeded 3rd Baronet Guise of Elmore in Gloucestershire.

The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.
