In 1670 [his father] James Rushout 1st Baronet (age 25) and [his mother] Alice Pitt Lady Rushout were married. She by marriage Lady Rushout of Northwick Park in Worcestershire.

On 6th February 1685 John Rushout 4th Baronet was born to James Rushout 1st Baronet (age 40) and Alice Pitt Lady Rushout.

On 16th February 1698 [his father] James Rushout 1st Baronet (age 53) died. His son [his brother] James (age 22) succeeded 2nd Baronet Rushout of Northwick Park in Worcestershire.

On 21st September 1711 James Rushout 3rd Baronet (age 10) died. His uncle John (age 26) succeeded 4th Baronet Rushout of Northwick Park in Worcestershire.

1713 General Election

In 1713 John Rushout 4th Baronet (age 27) stood for MP Evesham without success at the 1713 General Election.

On 20th April 1713 John Rushout 4th Baronet (age 28) was elected MP Malmesbury with the support of Thomas Wharton 1st Marquess Wharton (age 64).

1715 General Election

Between 22nd January 1715 and 9th March 1715 the 1715 General Election was held. The election had been caused by George I's (age 54) succession. The Whig party, which supported George I, won an overwhelming majority.

John Rushout 4th Baronet (age 29) was elected MP Malmesbury.

Leonard Smelt (age 32) was elected MP Northallerton.

Thomas Frankland 3rd Baronet (age 30) was elected MP Thirsk.

George Carpenter 1st Baron Carpenter (age 57) was elected MP Whitchurch.

1722 General Election

In 1722 John Rushout 4th Baronet (age 36) was elected MP Malmesbury and MP Evesham in the 1722 General Election. He was unseated on petition at Malmesbury on 13th December 1722, and so took his seat at Evesham.

In 1727 John Rushout 4th Baronet (age 41) was elected MP Evesham in the 1727 General Election.

The Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough, a canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: "In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed." In 1729 John Rushout 4th Baronet (age 43) and Anne Compton Lady Rushout were married. She the daughter of George Compton 4th Earl of Northampton and Jane Fox Countess Northampton.

Around 1730 [his daughter] Elizabeth Rushout was born to John Rushout 4th Baronet (age 44) and [his wife] Anne Compton Lady Rushout.

In 1731 William Pulteney 1st Earl Bath (age 46) published a pamphlet "Sedition and Defamation display'd, with a Dedication to the patrons of The Craftsman". His friend John Hervey 2nd Baron Hervey (age 34) replied with "A Proper Reply to a late Scurrilous Libel". A duel was agreed; John Hervey 2nd Baron Hervey narrowly escaped with his life. John Rushout 4th Baronet (age 45) acted as second for William Pulteney.

On 23rd July 1738 [his son] John Rushout 1st Baron Northwick was born to John Rushout 4th Baronet (age 53) and [his wife] Anne Compton Lady Rushout.

In 1761 [his son-in-law] Richard Myddelton (age 35) and [his daughter] Elizabeth Rushout (age 31) were married.

In or before 1767 [his son] John Rushout 1st Baron Northwick (age 28) and [his daughter-in-law] Rebecca Bowles were married.

In 1772 [his daughter] Elizabeth Rushout (age 42) died.

On 2nd February 1775 John Rushout 4th Baronet (age 89) died. His son [his son] John (age 36) succeeded 5th Baronet Rushout of Northwick Park in Worcestershire.
