In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. This book presents a new translation of that letter, with additional material from other contemporary sources such as Letters, Hall's and Wriothesley's Chronicles, the pamphlets of Wynkyn the Worde, the Memorial of George Constantyne, the Portuguese Letter and the Baga de Secrets, all of which are provided in Appendices.

In 1818 Constantine Phipps 1st Marquess Normanby [aged 20] and Maria Liddell Marchioness Normanby [aged 19] were married. He the son of Henry Phipps 1st Earl Mulgrave [aged 62] and Martha Sophia Thomson Maling Countess Mulgrave.
On 23rd July 1819 [her son] George Phipps 2nd Marquess Normanby was born to [her husband] Constantine Phipps 1st Marquess Normanby [aged 22] and Maria Liddell Marchioness Normanby [aged 21]. He a great x 4 grandson of King James II of England Scotland and Ireland. He married 1844 Laura Russell Marchioness Normanby and had issue.
Before 8th October 1821 [her brother] Henry Thomas Liddell 1st Earl Ravensworth [aged 24] and [her sister-in-law] Isabella Horatia Seymour were married. They were sixth cousins. She a great x 3 granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.
In 1823 [her brother-in-law] William Keppel Barrington 6th Viscount Barrington [aged 29] and [her sister] Jane Elizabeth Liddell Viscountess Barrington [aged 18] were married.
On 4th March 1829 George Barrington 5th Viscount Barrington [aged 67] died. His son [her brother-in-law] William [aged 35] succeeded 6th Viscount Barrington of Ardglass in County Down. [her sister] Jane Elizabeth Liddell Viscountess Barrington [aged 24] by marriage Viscountess Barrington of Ardglass in County Down.
On 7th April 1831 [her father-in-law] Henry Phipps 1st Earl Mulgrave [aged 76] died. His son [her husband] Constantine [aged 33] succeeded 2nd Earl Mulgrave, 2nd Viscount Normanby, 4th Baron Mulgrave of New Ross in Wexford and 2nd Baron Mulgrave. Maria Liddell Marchioness Normanby [aged 32] by marriage Countess Mulgrave.
In August 1833 [her brother-in-law] Charles Yorke 4th Earl of Hardwicke [aged 34] and [her sister] Susan Liddell Countess Hardwicke [aged 23] were married.

His nephew [her brother-in-law] Charles [aged 35] succeeded 4th Earl Hardwicke, 4th Viscount Royston. [her sister] Susan Liddell Countess Hardwicke [aged 24] by marriage Countess Hardwicke.
