Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses
Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

In 1781 [his father] George Rodney 2nd Baron Rodney (age 27) and [his mother] Anne Harley Baroness Rodney (age 21) were married. Her father [his grandfather] Thomas Harley (age 50) gave them Berrington Hall as a wedding gift.
On 30th April 1785 Spencer Rodney 5th Baron Rodney was born to [his father] George Rodney 2nd Baron Rodney (age 31) and [his mother] Anne Harley Baroness Rodney (age 25).
On 24th May 1792 [his grandfather] George Brydges Rodney 1st Baron Rodney (age 74) died. His son [his father] George (age 38) succeeded 2nd Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke in Somerset. [his mother] Anne Harley Baroness Rodney (age 32) by marriage Baroness Rodney of Rodney Stoke in Somerset.
Around 1797 Spencer Rodney 5th Baron Rodney (age 11) educated at Westminster School [Map].
Around 1800 Spencer Rodney 5th Baron Rodney (age 14) was educated at All Souls College, Oxford University.
On 2nd January 1802 [his father] George Rodney 2nd Baron Rodney (age 48) died. His son [his brother] George (age 19) succeeded 3rd Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke in Somerset.
In 1807 Spencer Rodney 5th Baron Rodney (age 21) was awarded Bachelor of Arts at All Souls College, Oxford University.
Anne Boleyn. Her Life as told by Lancelot de Carle's 1536 Letter.
In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. This book presents a new translation of that letter, with additional material from other contemporary sources such as Letters, Hall's and Wriothesley's Chronicles, the pamphlets of Wynkyn the Worde, the Memorial of George Constantyne, the Portuguese Letter and the Baga de Secrets, all of which are provided in Appendices.

In April 1840 [his mother] Anne Harley Baroness Rodney (age 80) died.
On 21st June 1842 [his brother] George Rodney 3rd Baron Rodney (age 60) died. His brother [his brother] Thomas (age 58) succeeded 4th Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke in Somerset.
In 1843 [his brother] Thomas James Rodney 4th Baron Rodney (age 59) died. His brother Spencer (age 57) succeeded 5th Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke in Somerset.
On 15th May 1846 Spencer Rodney 5th Baron Rodney (age 61) died at Harley Street Marylebone. He was buried at Eye, Suffolk. His nephew Robert (age 25) succeeded 6th Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke in Somerset.
