On 7th April 1825 [his father] Francis Baring 1st Baron Northbrook (age 28) and [his mother] Jane Grey (age 20) were married at Dockyard Chapel, Portsmouth.
On 22nd January 1826 Thomas Baring 1st Earl Northbrook was born to Francis Baring 1st Baron Northbrook (age 29) and Jane Grey (age 21).
On 23rd April 1838 [his mother] Jane Grey (age 33) died.
In 1841 [his father] Francis Baring 1st Baron Northbrook (age 44) and [his step-mother] Arabella Georgina Howard Baroness Northbrook (age 31) were married at St George's Church, Hanover Square. She the daughter of Kenneth Alexander Howard 1st Earl of Effingham (age 73) and Charlotte Primrose Countess Effingham (age 65).
In 1848 Thomas Baring 1st Earl Northbrook (age 21) and Elizabeth Sturt Baroness Northbrook were married.

The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.

In 1899 [his son] Francis Baring 2nd Earl Northbrook (age 48) and [his daughter-in-law] Florence Anita Coote Countess Northbrook (age 38) were married. There was no issue from the marriage. He the son of Thomas Baring 1st Earl Northbrook (age 72) and [his former wife] Elizabeth Sturt Baroness Northbrook.

On 15th November 1904 Thomas Baring 1st Earl Northbrook (age 78) died at Stratton Park House. His son [his son] Francis (age 53) succeeded 2nd Earl Northbrook, 3rd Baron Northbrook, 5th Baronet Baring of Larkbeer in Devon. [his daughter-in-law] Florence Anita Coote Countess Northbrook (age 43) by marriage Countess Northbrook.
