On 16th March 1725 (possibly 1724) [his father] Edward Harley 3rd Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer (age 26) and [his mother] Martha Morgan Countess of Oxford and Mortimer (age 26) were married at St Anne's Church, Soho [Map].

On 24th August 1730 Thomas Harley was born to [his father] Edward Harley 3rd Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer (age 31) and [his mother] Martha Morgan Countess of Oxford and Mortimer (age 31).

On 4th January 1744 [his mother] Martha Morgan Countess of Oxford and Mortimer (age 45) died.

In 1751 [his brother] Edward Harley 4th Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortomer (age 24) and [his sister-in-law] Susanna Archer Countess of Oxford and Mortimer (age 23) were married. She brought a dowry of £50,000. He the son of [his father] Edward Harley 3rd Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer (age 52) and [his mother] Martha Morgan Countess of Oxford and Mortimer.

On 15th March 1752 Thomas Harley (age 21) and Anne Bangham (age 22) were married. He the son of Edward Harley 3rd Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer (age 53) and Martha Morgan Countess of Oxford and Mortimer.

On 11th April 1755 [his father] Edward Harley 3rd Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer (age 56) died. His son [his brother] Edward (age 28) succeeded 4th Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer. [his sister-in-law] Susanna Archer Countess of Oxford and Mortimer (age 27) by marriage Countess of Oxford and Countess Mortimer.

Around 1760 [his daughter] Anne Harley Baroness Rodney was born to Thomas Harley (age 29) and [his wife] Anne Bangham (age 29). She married 1781 George Rodney 2nd Baron Rodney, son of George Brydges Rodney 1st Baron Rodney and Jane Compton, and had issue.

From 1761 to 1774 Thomas Harley (age 30) was MP London.

The History of William Marshal, Earl of Chepstow and Pembroke, Regent of England. Book 1 of 2, Lines 1-10152.

The History of William Marshal was commissioned by his son shortly after William’s death in 1219 to celebrate the Marshal’s remarkable life; it is an authentic, contemporary voice. The manuscript was discovered in 1861 by French historian Paul Meyer. Meyer published the manuscript in its original Anglo-French in 1891 in two books. This book is a line by line translation of the first of Meyer’s books; lines 1-10152. Book 1 of the History begins in 1139 and ends in 1194. It describes the events of the Anarchy, the role of William’s father John, John’s marriages, William’s childhood, his role as a hostage at the siege of Newbury, his injury and imprisonment in Poitou where he met Eleanor of Aquitaine and his life as a knight errant. It continues with the accusation against him of an improper relationship with Margaret, wife of Henry the Young King, his exile, and return, the death of Henry the Young King, the rebellion of Richard, the future King Richard I, war with France, the death of King Henry II, and the capture of King Richard, and the rebellion of John, the future King John. It ends with the release of King Richard and the death of John Marshal.

On 6th April 1763 [his daughter] Elizabeth Harley was born to Thomas Harley (age 32) and [his wife] Anne Bangham (age 33). She married 1783 David Murray and had issue.

In 1764 Thomas Harley (age 33) was appointed Sheriff of London.

In 1767 Thomas Harley (age 36) was elected Lord Mayor of London.

In 1778 Thomas Harley (age 47) commissioned the building of Berrington Hall.

In 1778 [his brother] Bishop John Harley (age 49) was appointed Dean Chapel Royal Windsor.

In 1781 [his son-in-law] George Rodney 2nd Baron Rodney (age 27) and [his daughter] Anne Harley Baroness Rodney (age 21) were married. Her father Thomas Harley (age 50) gave them Berrington Hall as a wedding gift.

On 3rd June 1781 [his son-in-law] Robert Hay-Drummond 10th Earl Kinnoul (age 30) and [his daughter] Sarah Harley Countess Kinnoul were married. He the son of Archbishop Robert Hay-Drummond and Henrietta d'Auriol. They were half third cousins.

In 1783 [his son-in-law] David Murray (age 34) and [his daughter] Elizabeth Harley (age 19) were married.

In 1787 [his brother] Bishop John Harley (age 58) was appointed Bishop of Hereford.

On 7th January 1788 [his brother] Bishop John Harley (age 59) died.

Anne Boleyn. Her Life as told by Lancelot de Carle's 1536 Letter.

In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. This book presents a new translation of that letter, with additional material from other contemporary sources such as Letters, Hall's and Wriothesley's Chronicles, the pamphlets of Wynkyn the Worde, the Memorial of George Constantyne, the Portuguese Letter and the Baga de Secrets, all of which are provided in Appendices.

On 11th October 1790 [his brother] Edward Harley 4th Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortomer (age 64) died at Brampton Bryan Hall without issue. His nephew [his nephew] Edward (age 17) succeeded 5th Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer.

In April 1791 Thomas Harley (age 60) was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Radnorshire.

In August 1804 Thomas Harley (age 73) was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Radnorshire.

On 1st December 1804 Thomas Harley (age 74) died.

1904. St Andrew's Church, Bredwardine [Map]. Memorial to George Jarvis, died 1794. In the year preceding his death he changed his will leaving everything to the poor of the Parishes of Bredwardine, Staunton-on-Wye and Letton in the proportion 13:11:6. The trustees, who commissioned this memorial by Richard Westmacott (presumably, or possibly his father), were Bishop Folliott Cornewall, Thomas Harley and George Cornewall 3rd Baronet.

Bishop Folliott Cornewall: On or before 9th May 1754 he was born. He was baptised on 9th May 1754. In 1808 Bishop Folliott Cornewall was translated to Bishop of Worcester. In 1824 Bishop Robert Eden 3rd Baron Auckland was ordained Priest by Bishop Folliott Cornewall, then Bishop of Worcester. On 5th September 1831 he died.

George Cornewall 3rd Baronet: On 16th January 1774 he was born to George Amyand aka Cornewall 2nd Baronet and Catherine Cornewall. He was baptised at St George's Church, Hanover Square. On 26th September 1815 George Cornewall 3rd Baronet and Jane Naper Lady Cornewall were married. On 26th August 1819 George Amyand aka Cornewall 2nd Baronet died. His son George succeeded 3rd Baronet Amyand aka Cornewall of Moccas Court in Herefordshire. Jane Naper Lady Cornewall by marriage Lady Amyand aka Cornewall of Moccas Court in Herefordshire. On 27th December 1835 George Cornewall 3rd Baronet died. His son Velters succeeded 4th Baronet Amyand aka Cornewall of Moccas Court in Herefordshire.

[his daughter] Sarah Harley Countess Kinnoul was born to Thomas Harley and Anne Bangham. She married 3rd June 1781 her half third cousin Robert Hay-Drummond 10th Earl Kinnoul, son of Archbishop Robert Hay-Drummond and Henrietta d'Auriol, and had issue.

Harley Street Marylebone is named after Thomas Harley.
