Letters Patent have passed the Great Seal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland conferring the dignity of a Baron of the said United Kingdom upon Sir Herbert Merton Jessel (age 57), Bt., C.B., C.M.G., and the heirs male of his body lawfully begotten, by the name, style and title of Baron Jessel, of Westminster, in the county of London.

On 1st November 1950 Herbet Merton Jessel 1st Baron Jessel (age 84) died. His son Edward (age 46) succeeded 2nd Baron Jessel of Westminster in London, 2nd Baronet Jessel of Westminster.

On 13th June 1990 Edward Jessel 2nd Baronet Jessel (age 86) died. Baron Jessel of Westminster in London, Baronet Jessel of Westminster extinct.
