The King has been pleased, by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm, bearing date the 15th instant, to confer the dignity of a Baron of the United Kingdom upon The Right Honourable Sir Edward Hilton Young (age 56), GBE, DSO, DSC, and the heirs male of his body lawfully begotten, by the name, style and title of Baron Kennet, of the Dene in the County of Wilts.
On 11th July 1960 Edward Hilton Young 1st Baron Kennet (age 81) died. His son Wayland (age 36) succeeded 2nd Baron Kennet of the Dene Wiltshire.
On 7th May 2009 Wayland Hilton Young 2nd Baron Kennet (age 85) died. His son William (age 52) succeeded 3rd Baron Kennet of the Dene Wiltshire.
