The London Gazette 9947. Whitehall, November 13 [1759]. The King has been pleated to grant unto Sir Samuel Fludyer (age 55), Knt. Alderman of the City of London, and his Heirs Male, and in Default of such Issue, to Thomas Fludyer, of the said City of London, Esq; Brother to the said Sir Samuel Fludyer, and his Heirs Male, the Dignity of a Baronet of the Kingdom of Great Britain.

In 1762 Samuel Fludyer 1st Baronet (age 58) and Caroline Brudenell were married. She by marriage Lady Fludyer.

On 18th January 1768 Samuel Fludyer 1st Baronet (age 64) died. His son Samuel (age 8) succeeded 2nd Baronet Fludyer.

In 1833 Samuel Fludyer 2nd Baronet (age 73) died. His son Samuel (age 33) succeeded 3rd Baronet Fludyer.

In 1876 Samuel Fludyer 3rd Baronet (age 76) died. His grandfather had been estimated to be the wealthiest man in England at the time of his death so there was a substantial fortune at stake. His father's will stipulated that should Samuel die without heirs, the bulk of the fortune should pass to Samuel's great-uncle, George Fludyer or his heirs, however £80,000 was left to Samuel's discretion to bequeath as he saw fit. Obviously while considered insane, he was not given any say in the disposition of his wealth while alive, and his sisters ultimately inherited the full £80,000 between them. The remainder passed to His first cousin John Henry Fludyer (age 73) who also succeeded 4th Baronet Fludyer.

In 1896 John Henry Fludyer 4th Baronet (age 93) died. His son Arthur (age 51) succeeded 5th Baronet Fludyer.

All About History Books

The Deeds of King Henry V, or in Latin Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.
