On 30th May 1743 Francis Hawley 2nd Baron Hawley (age 70) died. His son Francis (age 25) succeeded 3rd Baron Hawley of Donsmore, 3rd Baronet Hawley of Buckland in Somerset.

On 20th January 1826 Henry Hawley 1st Baronet (age 80) died. His son Henry (age 49) succeeded 2nd Baronet Hawley of Leybourne Grange in Kent.

On 29th March 1831 Henry Hawley 2nd Baronet (age 54) died. His son Joseph (age 16) succeeded 3rd Baronet Hawley of Leybourne Grange in Kent.

On 20th April 1875 Joseph Hawley 3rd Baronet (age 60) died. His brother Henry (age 51) succeeded 4th Baronet Hawley of Leybourne Grange in Kent.

The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.

On 28th September 1938 David Hawley 7th Baronet (age 25) and Hermione Gregson Lady Hawley (age 23) were married. She by marriage Lady Hawley of Leybourne Grange in Kent.

On 19th March 1988 David Hawley 7th Baronet (age 74) died. His son Henry (age 48) succeeded 8th Baronet Hawley of Leybourne Grange in Kent.

On 10th January 2015 Henry Nicholas Hawley 8th Baronet (age 75) died. Baronet Hawley of Leybourne Grange in Kent extinct.
