The difference in their ages was 22 years; she, unusually, being older than him. He the son of [his grandfather] Hugh I King France (age 47) and [his grandmother] Adelaide Poitiers Queen Consort France (age 43).

In 999 [his father] Robert "Pious" II King France (age 26) and Bertha Welf Queen Consort France (age 35) were married. She by marriage Queen Consort of France. They separated sometime before 1003 as a consequence of their consanguinity. She the daughter of Conrad I King Burgundy and Mathilde Carolingian Queen Consort Burgundy. He the son of [his grandfather] Hugh I King France and [his grandmother] Adelaide Poitiers Queen Consort France (age 54). They were second cousins.

In 1003 [his father] Robert "Pious" II King France (age 30) and [his mother] Constance Arles Queen Consort France (age 17) were married. She by marriage Queen Consort of France. She the daughter of [his grandfather] William "Liberator" Arles 1st Count Provence 1st Count Arles and [his grandmother] Adelaide Blanche Ingelger Queen Consort West Francia (age 63). The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.

On 29th May 1040 Renauld I Count of Nevers (age 35) was killed at the Battle of Seignelay against Robert I Duke Burgundy (age 29). His son William (age 10) succeeded Count Nevers.

On 27th January 1074 [his son] Henry "Gallant" Burgundy (age 39) died.

Around 1076 [his step-son] Fulk "Réchin" Anjou 4th Count Anjou (age 33) and Orengarde Chatellailon Countess Anjou were married. She by marriage Countess Anjou. He the son of Geoffrey "Ferréol" Anjou 2nd Count Gâtinais and [his wife] Ermengarde Blanche Ingelger Duchess Burgundy (age 58).

On 18th March 1076 [his wife] Ermengarde Blanche Ingelger Duchess Burgundy (age 58) died.

On 21st March 1076 Robert I Duke Burgundy (age 65) died. His grandson [his grandson] Hugh (age 19) succeeded I Duke Burgundy.
