On 4th May 1008 Henry I King of the Franks was born to Robert "Pious" II King of the Franks [aged 36] and Constance Arles Queen Consort France [aged 22] at Reims. He married (1) 1034 Matilda Brunonids Queen Consort France, daughter of Liudolf Brunonids Margrave Frisia (2) 19th May 1051 Anne of Kiev Queen Consort Francia and had issue.

On 24th November 1192 Bishop Albert Reginar [aged 26] was assassinated at Reims.

In 1198 Bishop William de Vere died.

On 16th April 1148 Bishop Robert de Bethune died in Reims just after the closure of the Council of Reims. His remains were brought to Hereford Cathedral [Map] where he was buried. See Chronicle of Wigmore.

On 27th February 1167 Bishop Robert Melun [aged 67] died.

Bishop William de Vere: he was born to Aubrey II de Vere and Adelize de Clare. In 1186 he was appointed Bishop of Hereford.

Bishop Robert de Bethune: In 1130 he was appointed Bishop of Hereford. On 28th June 1131 Bishop Robert de Bethune was consecrated at Rochester Cathedral [Map].

Bishop Robert Melun: Around 1100 he was born. On 22nd December 1163 Bishop Robert Melun was consecrated Bishop of Hereford by Archbishop Thomas Becket at Canterbury Cathedral [Map].

On 23rd September 1845 René de Saint-Marceaux was born at Reims.

On 14th May 1027 Henry I King of the Franks [aged 19] was crowned I King France: Capet at Reims Cathedral whilst his father was still living.

In 1049 Reims Cathedral was consecrated. Pope Leo XI was accepted the invitation to attend and announced the Council of Reims was to be held concurrent with consecration. During the course of the Council Geoffrey "Martel" II Count Anjou was excommunicated for the imprisonment of Gervais Chateau Du Loir Archbishop of Reims [aged 42].

On 6th August 1223 King Louis VIII of France [aged 35] and Blanche Ivrea Queen Consort France [aged 35] were crowned at Reims Cathedral.

On 11th May 1429 following her success at Orléans Joan of Arc [aged 17] met Charles "Victorious" VII King France [aged 26] at the Royal Lodge, Loches where she persuaded him to be crowned at Reims Cathedral.

On 17th July 1429 Charles "Victorious" VII King France [aged 26] was crowned at Reims Cathedral by Cardinal Regnault de Chartres [aged 49] with Joan of Arc [aged 17] present.

Guy 14th de Laval Count [aged 23], who was present, was created Count Laval.

On 13th February 1575 Henry III King France [aged 23] was crowned III King France: Capet Valois Angoulême at Reims Cathedral.

On 14th February 1575 Henry III King France [aged 23] and Louise Lorraine Queen Consort France [aged 21] were married at Reims Cathedral; the day after his coronation. She by marriage Queen Consort France. He the son of King Henry II of France and Catherine Medici Queen Consort France [aged 55]. They were fourth cousins.
