She the daughter of [his grandfather] King Louis VI of France and [his grandmother] Adelaide Savoy Queen Consort France. He the son of King Stephen I England (age 54) and Matilda Flanders (age 43). They were third cousin once removed.

On 27th October 1156 Raymond Rouerge Marquess Provence was born to Raymond Rouerge V Count Toulose (age 22) and Constance Capet Countess Boulogne and Toulose (age 28) at Saint Gilles.

On 16th August 1176 [his mother] Constance Capet Countess Boulogne and Toulose (age 48) died.

In February 1177 William "Good" II King Sicily (age 22) and [his future wife] Joan Plantagenet Queen Consort Sicily (age 11) were married. She by marriage Queen Sicily. She the daughter of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England (age 43) and [his future mother-in-law] Eleanor of Aquitaine Queen Consort Franks and England (age 55). They were half sixth cousins.

Around 1180 [his daughter] Constance Rouerge Queen Consort Navarre was born to Raymond Rouerge Marquess Provence (age 23) and Beatrice Beziers.

Around 1194 [his father] Raymond Rouerge V Count Toulose (age 60) died. His son Raymond (age 37) succeeded VI Count Toulose.

In 1195 [his son-in-law] Sancho "Strong" VII King Navarre (age 40) and [his daughter] Constance Rouerge Queen Consort Navarre (age 15) were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Navarre. The difference in their ages was 25 years. She the daughter of Raymond Rouerge Marquess Provence (age 38) and Beatrice Beziers. He the son of Sancho "Wise" King Navarre and Sancha Ivrea. They were half third cousin once removed.

The Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough, a canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. He the son of Raymond Rouerge V Count Toulose and Constance Capet Countess Boulogne and Toulose. They were third cousin once removed.

In 1197 [his sister-in-law] Alix Capet Countess Blois (age 46) died.

In July 1197 [his son] Raymond Rouerge VII Count Toulose was born to Raymond Rouerge Marquess Provence (age 40) and [his wife] Joan Plantagenet Queen Consort Sicily (age 31) at Chateau de Beaucaire, Beaucaire. He a grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.

On 11th March 1198 [his sister-in-law] Marie Capet Countess Champagne (age 53) died.

Death of Richard I

                    On 26th March 1199 [his brother-in-law] King Richard "Lionheart" I of England (age 41) was besieging Châlus Chabrol Castle. During the course of the evening King Richard "Lionheart" I of England was shot by a crossbow. The wound quickly became gangrenous; Richard died in the arms of his mother [his mother-in-law] Eleanor of Aquitaine Queen Consort Franks and England (age 77) on 6th April 1199. His brother [his brother-in-law] John (age 32) succeeded I King of England.
                
                    There was a brother between Richard and John named Geoffrey Duke of Brittany who had a son Arthur (age 12), who was around twelve, and a daughter Eleanor (age 15), who was around fifteen, whose mother was Constance Penthièvre Duchess Brittany (age 38).
                
                    King Philip II of France (age 33) had planned for Eleanor to marry his son, probably to bring Brittany into the French Royal family, possibly to pursue a claim on England.
                
                    King Philip II of France supported Arthur's claim to the English throne. In the resulting war Arthur was captured, imprisoned and never seen again. Eleanor was captured, probably around the same time as Arthur, and imprisoned, more or less, for the remainder of her life, even after King John's death through the reign of King Henry III since she represented a threat to Henry's succession.

Coronation of King John

On 27th May 1199 [his brother-in-law] King John of England (age 32) was crowned I King of England by Archbishop Hubert Walter (age 39) at Westminster Abbey [Map]. Bishop Herbert Poore attended.

On 4th September 1199 [his wife] Joan Plantagenet Queen Consort Sicily (age 33) died at Rouen, France [Map]. She was buried at Fontevraud Abbey [Map].

In March 1211 [his son] Raymond Rouerge VII Count Toulose (age 13) and [his daughter-in-law] Sancha Barcelona Countess Toulose were married. She the daughter of Alfonso II King Aragon and Sancha Ivrea Queen Consort Aragon. He the son of Raymond Rouerge Marquess Provence (age 54) and [his former wife] Joan Plantagenet Queen Consort Sicily. They were third cousins. He a grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.

Battle of Muret

Les Grandes Chroniques de France. [12th September 1213]. After the barons and prelates had returned to France, the King of Aragon (age 35), the Count of Saint-Gilles (age 56), the Count of Foix, and many other barons of the land laid siege to the count in the castle of Muriaus. They had gathered a great host and inflicted wrongs, as they were of the country, and the count had only sixty knights, mounted sergeants, and pilgrims on foot, all unarmed, around him. After the count [Simon "Elder" Montfort 5th Earl of Leicester (age 38)] and his people had devoutly heard mass, confessed their sins, and invoked the grace of the Holy Spirit, they came out of the castle, bold as lions, as those armed with faith and belief, and valiantly fought against their enemies. They killed the King of Aragon and about 18,000 of his people. After they had won the battle and their enemies were all killed or driven away, they found that they had only lost eight pilgrims from all their company. Never had such a victory been heard of in this world, nor such a marvelous battle where so great a miracle should be noted. This Count Simon was called in the land the 'strong count,' for his marvelous strength. For, although he was very noble in arms, he was so devout that he heard mass and his canonical hours every day; always armed, always in danger. He had entirely left and renounced his country, in service to Our Lord, on this pilgrimage, to earn God's love and the joy of Paradise.
