The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.

On 17th May 1777 Thomas Maude 1st Baron Montalt (age 50) died unmarried. Baron Montalt of Hawarden in Tipperary extinct. His brother Cornwallis (age 47) succeeded 3rd Baronet of Dundrum in Tipperary. Anne Isabella Monck Viscountess Hawarden (age 18) by marriage Lady of Dundrum in Tipperary.

On 29th June 1786 Cornwallis Maude 1st Viscount Hawarden (age 56) was created 1st Baron Montalt of Hawarden in Tipperary. Anne Isabella Monck Viscountess Hawarden (age 27) by marriage Baroness Montalt of Hawarden in Tipperary.

On 23rd August 1803 Cornwallis Maude 1st Viscount Hawarden (age 73) died. His son Thomas (age 36) succeeded 2nd Viscount Hawarden, 2nd Baron Montalt of Hawarden in Tipperary, 4th Baronet of Dundrum in Tipperary. Frances Anne Agar Viscountess Hawarden by marriage Viscountess Hawarden.

On 26th February 1807 Thomas Ralph Maude 2nd Viscount Hawarden (age 39) died. His half brother Cornwallis (age 26) succeeded 3rd Viscount Hawarden, 3rd Baron Montalt of Hawarden in Tipperary, 5th Baronet of Dundrum in Tipperary.

On 12th October 1856 Cornwallis Maude 3rd Viscount Hawarden (age 76) died. His son Cornwallis (age 39) succeeded 4th Viscount Hawarden, 4th Baron Montalt of Hawarden in Tipperary, 6th Baronet of Dundrum in Tipperary.
