On 26th September 1628 Luke Plunkett 1st Earl of Fingall was created 1st Earl of Fingall. Eleanor Bagenal Countess Fingall by marriage Countess of Fingall.

Before 29th March 1637 Luke Plunkett 1st Earl of Fingall and Margaret St Lawrence Countess Fingall were married. She by marriage Countess of Fingall. They were half fourth cousins.

On 29th March 1637 Luke Plunkett 1st Earl of Fingall died. His son Christopher succeeded 2nd Earl of Fingall. Mabel Barnewall Countess Fingall by marriage Countess of Fingall.

On 16th August 1649 Christopher Plunkett 2nd Earl of Fingall died. His son Luke [aged 10] succeeded 3rd Earl of Fingall. Margaret Maccarthy Countess Fingall by marriage Countess of Fingall.

Around 1684 Luke Plunkett 3rd Earl of Fingall [aged 45] died. His son Peter [aged 6] succeeded 4th Earl of Fingall.

On 24th January 1718 Peter Plunkett 4th Earl of Fingall [aged 40] died. He was buried at the Chapel, Somerset House. His son Justin succeeded 5th Earl of Fingall.
