John Maitland 1st Lord Maitland of Thirlestane: Around 1545 he was born to Richard Maitland of Lethington. On or after 16th January 1583, the date of the contract, John Maitland 1st Lord Maitland of Thirlestane and Jean Fleming Countess Cassilis were married. On 3rd October 1595 John Maitland 1st Lord Maitland of Thirlestane died.

Anne Hay Countess Winton: In 1592 she was born to Francis Hay 9th Earl Erroll and Elizabeth Douglas Countess Erroll. On 26th June 1606 Robert Seton 2nd Earl Wintonresigned as Earl Winton on account of his being insane; see A History of the Seton Family. His brother George succeeded 3rd Earl Winton. She by marriage Countess Winton. On 26th April 1609 George Seton 3rd Earl Winton and she were married. She the daughter of Francis Hay 9th Earl Erroll and Elizabeth Douglas Countess Erroll. He the son of Robert Seton 1st Earl Winton and Margaret Montgomerie Countess Winton. They were fifth cousins. In 1628 Anne Hay Countess Winton died.

George Seton Master of Seton: On 15th May 1613 he was born to George Seton 3rd Earl Winton and Anne Hay Countess Winton. In 1630 or 1639 George Seton Master of Seton and Henrietta Gordon were married. She the daughter of George Gordon 2nd Marquess Huntly and Anna Campbell Marchioness Huntly. He the son of George Seton 3rd Earl Winton and Anne Hay Countess Winton. They were second cousins. On 4th June 1648 George Seton Master of Seton died.

Alexander Seton: In 1620 he was born to George Seton 3rd Earl Winton and Anne Hay Countess Winton. In 1691 Alexander Seton died.

Margaret Livingston Countess Wigtown: she was born to Alexander Livingston 1st Earl Linlithgow and Helen Hay. Before 2nd September 1609 John Fleming 2nd Earl Wigtown and she were married. She the daughter of Alexander Livingston 1st Earl Linlithgow and Helen Hay. He the son of John Fleming 1st Earl Wigtown and Lilias Graham Countess Graham. They were second cousins. In 1619 John Fleming 1st Earl Wigtown died. His son John succeeded 2nd Earl Wigtown, 7th Lord Fleming. She by marriage Countess Wigtown. Around 10th December 1651 Margaret Livingston Countess Wigtown died.

Margaret Graham Lady Napier: she was born to John Graham 4th Earl Montrose. In 1619 Archibald Napier 1st Baronet and Margaret Graham LAdy Napier 1626 were married. She the daughter of John Graham 4th Earl Montrose.

The History of William Marshal was commissioned by his son shortly after William’s death in 1219 to celebrate the Marshal’s remarkable life; it is an authentic, contemporary voice. The manuscript was discovered in 1861 by French historian Paul Meyer. Meyer published the manuscript in its original Anglo-French in 1891 in two books. This book is a line by line translation of the first of Meyer’s books; lines 1-10152. Book 1 of the History begins in 1139 and ends in 1194. It describes the events of the Anarchy, the role of William’s father John, John’s marriages, William’s childhood, his role as a hostage at the siege of Newbury, his injury and imprisonment in Poitou where he met Eleanor of Aquitaine and his life as a knight errant. It continues with the accusation against him of an improper relationship with Margaret, wife of Henry the Young King, his exile, and return, the death of Henry the Young King, the rebellion of Richard, the future King Richard I, war with France, the death of King Henry II, and the capture of King Richard, and the rebellion of John, the future King John. It ends with the release of King Richard and the death of John Marshal.

Thomas Hamilton 1st Earl Haddington: In 1563 he was born to Thomas Hamilton of Priestfield. In 1627 Thomas Hamilton 1st Earl Haddington was created 1st Earl Haddington, with the precedence of 1619 and with limitation to his heirs male bearing the surname of Hamilton. On 29th May 1637 Thomas Hamilton 1st Earl Haddington died. His son Thomas succeeded 2nd Earl Haddington. Jean Gordon Countess Haddington by marriage Countess Haddington.

Before 19th August 1651 Adam de Colone (age 79) died. He was buried on 19 Aug 1651.
