In September 1670 [his father] William Fleming 5th Earl Wigtown and [his mother] Henrietta Seton Countess Wigtown (age 18) were married. She the daughter of [his grandfather] Charles Seton 2nd Earl Dunfermline (age 54) and [his grandmother] Mary Douglas Countess Dunfermline. He the son of [his grandfather] John Fleming 3rd Earl Wigtown and [his grandmother] Jean Drummond Countess Wigtown. They were fourth cousins.
Around 1673 John Fleming 6th Earl Wigtown was born to William Fleming 5th Earl Wigtown and Henrietta Seton Countess Wigtown (age 20).
On 8th April 1681 [his father] William Fleming 5th Earl Wigtown died. His son John (age 8) succeeded 6th Earl Wigtown, 11th Lord Fleming.
On 14th March 1698 John Fleming 6th Earl Wigtown (age 25) and Margaret Lindsay Countess Wigtown were married. She by marriage Countess Wigtown. They were divorced in 1708. She the daughter of Colin Lindsay 3rd Earl Balcarres (age 45). He the son of William Fleming 5th Earl Wigtown and Henrietta Seton Countess Wigtown (age 45). They were second cousin once removed.
Between 30th November 1699 and 19th April 1700 [his mother] Henrietta Seton Countess Wigtown (age 47) died.
On 8th February 1711 John Fleming 6th Earl Wigtown (age 38) and Mary Keith Countess Wigtown were married. She by marriage Countess Wigtown. She the daughter of William Keith 9th Earl Marischal (age 47) and Mary Drummond Countess Marischal (age 36). He the son of William Fleming 5th Earl Wigtown and Henrietta Seton Countess Wigtown. They were second cousin once removed.
On 27th May 1712 [his father-in-law] William Keith 9th Earl Marischal (age 48) died. His son [his brother-in-law] George (age 20) succeeded 10th Earl Marischal.
In 1721 [his wife] Mary Keith Countess Wigtown died.

The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.

Before 1726 John Gordon 3rd Earl Aboyne and [his sister-in-law] Grace Lockhart Countess Aboyne (age 19) were married. She by marriage Countess Aboyne. He the son of Charles Gordon 2nd Earl Aboyne and Elizabeth Lyon Countess Aboyne (age 53). They were fourth cousin twice removed.
In 1734 James Stuart 8th Earl of Moray (age 26) and [his sister-in-law] Grace Lockhart Countess Aboyne (age 27) were married. He the son of Francis Stuart 7th Earl of Moray (age 51). They were fifth cousin once removed.
On 17th November 1738 [his sister-in-law] Grace Lockhart Countess Aboyne (age 32) died.
On 10th February 1744 John Fleming 6th Earl Wigtown (age 71) died. His brother [his brother] Charles (age 69) succeeded 7th Earl Wigtown, 12th Lord Fleming.
On 24th November 1762 [his former wife] Euphemia Lockhart Countess Wigtown (age 59) died.
