George Carew and Thomasine Godolphin were married.

George Carew was born to [his father] Thomas Carew and [his mother] Elizabeth Edgecombe.

Before 17th July 1555 [his father] Thomas Carew (age 28) and [his mother] Elizabeth Edgecombe (age 23) were married.

On 12th February 1565 [his father] Thomas Carew (age 38) died.

In 1584 George Carew was elected MP St Germans.

In 1586 George Carew was elected MP Saltash.

In 1588 George Carew was elected MP Saltash.

In 1593 George Carew was elected MP Saltash.

In 1597 George Carew was elected MP St Germans.

Anne Boleyn. Her Life as told by Lancelot de Carle's 1536 Letter.

In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. This book presents a new translation of that letter, with additional material from other contemporary sources such as Letters, Hall's and Wriothesley's Chronicles, the pamphlets of Wynkyn the Worde, the Memorial of George Constantyne, the Portuguese Letter and the Baga de Secrets, all of which are provided in Appendices.

Death of Queen Elizabeth I Accession of James I

On 24th March 1603 Elizabeth I (age 69) died at Richmond Palace [Map] around three in the morning. Her first cousin twice removed James (age 36) succeeded I King England Scotland and Ireland.

Immediately following her death Robert Carey 1st Earl Monmouth (age 43) started on horseback for Edinburgh to inform King James I of England and Ireland and VI of Scotland arriving at Holyrood Palace [Map] late on the 26 Mar 1603. His conduct met with general disapproval and merited censure as contrary to all decency, good manners and respect. George Carew and Thomas Lake (age 35) were sent by the Council to formally inform James of her death.

On 23rd July 1603 King James I of England and Ireland and VI of Scotland (age 37) created a number Knights at the Royal Gardens Whitehall Palace:
