In 1631 Thomas Morgan 1st Baronet was born to Lewis Morgan of Langattock in Monmouthshire.
Note 1. Cracroft: He is said, in the Diet. Nat. Biog. to be "second son of Robert Morgan, of Llahrymny," whose eldest son. Sir Henry Morgan (the "Buccaneer"), was born about 1635. As, however, he served in the "thirty years war," which ended in 1648 (when Henry, therein called his eldest brother, was but thirteen) it is evident that this affiliation (which contradicts the account in Wotton's Baronetage) is a mistake.
Around 1650 Thomas Morgan 1st Baronet (age 19) and Delariviere Cholmondeley Lady Morgan were married. They had nine sons.
In 1651 [his son] John Morgan 2nd Baronet was born to Thomas Morgan 1st Baronet (age 20) and [his wife] Delariviere Cholmondeley Lady Morgan.
On 25th November 1658 Thomas Morgan 1st Baronet (age 27) was knighted by Oliver Cromwell.
On 7th February 1661 Thomas Morgan 1st Baronet (age 30) was created 1st Baronet Morgan of Langattock in Monmouthshire. [his wife] Delariviere Cholmondeley Lady Morgan by marriage Lady Morgan of Langattock in Monmouthshire.
In 1665 Thomas Morgan 1st Baronet (age 34) was made Governor of Jersey, where he repaired the forts and reorganised the militia. In Falle's "Jersey" is a most laudatory account of his diligent government of that island.
On 13th April 1679 Thomas Morgan 1st Baronet (age 48) died. His son [his son] John (age 28) succeeded 2nd Baronet Morgan of Langattock in Monmouthshire.
Around 1683 [his former wife] Delariviere Cholmondeley Lady Morgan died.
