In 1934 Evelyn Gascoyne-Cecil 1st Baron Rockley [aged 68] was created 1st Baron Rockley of Lychett Heath in Dorset.

On 1st April 1941 Evelyn Gascoyne-Cecil 1st Baron Rockley [aged 75] died at Poole, Dorset. His son Robert [aged 40] succeeded 2nd Baron Rockley of Lychett Heath in Dorset.

In 1976 Robert William Evelyn Gascoyne-Cecil 2nd Baron Rockley [aged 75] died. His son James [aged 41] succeeded 3rd Baron Rockley of Lychett Heath in Dorset.

On 5th December 2011 James Cecil 3rd Baron Rockley [aged 77] died. His son Anthony [aged 50] succeeded 4th Baron Rockley of Lychett Heath in Dorset.
