In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. This book presents a new translation of that letter, with additional material from other contemporary sources such as Letters, Hall's and Wriothesley's Chronicles, the pamphlets of Wynkyn the Worde, the Memorial of George Constantyne, the Portuguese Letter and the Baga de Secrets, all of which are provided in Appendices.

In 1911 Edward Tennant 1st Baron Glenconner [aged 51] was created 1st Baron Glenconner of The Glen in Peebles. Pamela Wyndham Viscountess Grey [aged 39] by marriage Baroness Glenconner of The Glen in Peebles.

On 21st November 1920 Edward Tennant 1st Baron Glenconner [aged 61] died at 34 Queen Anne's Gate Marylebone following an operation ten days before. His son Christopher [aged 21] succeeded 2nd Baron Glenconner of The Glen in Peebles, 3rd Baronet Tennant of The Glen and St Rollox.

On 25th September 1925 Christopher Tennant 2nd Baron Glenconner [aged 26] and Pamela Winefred Paget Baroness Glenconner [aged 22] were married. She by marriage Baroness Glenconner of The Glen in Peebles.

In 1983 Christopher Tennant 2nd Baron Glenconner [aged 84] died. His son Colin [aged 56] succeeded 3rd Baron Glenconner of The Glen in Peebles, 4th Baronet Tennant of The Glen and St Rollox. Anne Veronica Coke Baroness Glenconner [aged 50] by marriage Baroness Glenconner of The Glen in Peebles.

On 27th August 2010 Colin Tennant 3rd Baron Glenconner [aged 83] died. His grandson Cody [aged 16] succeeded 4th Baron Glenconner of The Glen in Peebles, 5th Baronet Tennant of The Glen and St Rollox. He had made a new will shortly before his death leaving all of his assets to an employee, Kent Adonai. The family contested this will, and after a legal battle that lasted several years the estate was divided between Adonai and Cody Charles Edward Tennant.
