On 27th October 1947 Henry Cubitt 2nd Baron Ashcombe [aged 80] died at Dorking, Surrey [Map]. His son Roland [aged 48] succeeded 3rd Baron Ashcombe of Dorking in Surrey and Bodiam Castle in Sussex.
