Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

On 3rd March 1755 Horace Mann 1st Baronet [aged 48] was created 1st Baronet Mann of Linton in Kent.

On 6th November 1786 Horace Mann 1st Baronet [aged 80] died unmarried at Florence, Tuscany. His nephew Horatio [aged 42] succeeded 2nd Baronet Mann of Linton in Kent.

On 2nd April 1814 Horatio Mann 2nd Baronet [aged 70] died. Baronet Mann of Linton in Kent extinct. His nephew James Mann 5th Earl Cornwallis [aged 35] inherited his estates of Boughton aka Bocton Place, Kent [Map] and Linton.
