Deeds of King Henry V

Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

In 1691 Humphrey Briggs 2nd Baronet [aged 76] died. His son Humphrey [aged 41] succeeded 3rd Baronet Briggs of Haughton in Shropshire.

In 1700 Humphrey Briggs 3rd Baronet [aged 50] died. His son Humphrey [aged 30] succeeded 4th Baronet Briggs of Haughton in Shropshire.

On 8th December 1734 Humphrey Briggs 4th Baronet [aged 64] died unmarried. His brother Hugh [aged 50] succeeded 5th Baronet Briggs of Haughton in Shropshire.

On 27th October 1767 Hugh Briggs 5th Baronet [aged 83] died. Baronet Briggs of Haughton in Shropshire extinct.
