The Gesta Normannorum Ducum [The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy] is a landmark medieval chronicle tracing the rise and fall of the Norman dynasty from its early roots through the pivotal events surrounding the Norman Conquest of England. On 28th May 1604 Thomas Gower 1st Baronet [aged 20] and Anne Doyley Baroness Gower were married.

Around 1605 [his son] Thomas Gower 2nd Baronet was born to Thomas Gower 1st Baronet [aged 21] and [his wife] Anne Doyley Baroness Gower. He married 1. Frances Leveson Baroness Gower and had issue 2. Elizabeth Howard.

In 1620 Thomas Gower 1st Baronet [aged 36] was appointed High Sheriff of Yorkshire.

In June 1620 two further baronetcies were created....

Thomas Gower 1st Baronet [aged 36] was created 1st Baronet Gower of Stittenham in Yorkshire. [his wife] Anne Doyley Baroness Gower by marriage Lady Gower of Stittenham in Yorkshire.

John Pakington 1st Baronet [aged 20] was created 1st Baronet Pakington.

On 2nd June 1620 Thomas Gower 1st Baronet [aged 36] was knighted by King James I of England and Ireland and VI of Scotland [aged 53].

On 28th October 1633 [his wife] Anne Doyley Baroness Gower died. She was buried at St Clement Danes Church, Westminster [Map].

In 1651 Thomas Gower 1st Baronet [aged 67] died. His son Thomas [aged 46] succeeded 2nd Baronet Gower of Stittenham in Yorkshire. Frances Leveson Baroness Gower by marriage Lady Gower of Stittenham in Yorkshire.
