Anne Boleyn. Her Life as told by Lancelot de Carle's 1536 Letter.
In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. This book presents a new translation of that letter, with additional material from other contemporary sources such as Letters, Hall's and Wriothesley's Chronicles, the pamphlets of Wynkyn the Worde, the Memorial of George Constantyne, the Portuguese Letter and the Baga de Secrets, all of which are provided in Appendices.

Kingston upon Hull [Map] is on the Humber Estuary.
On 3rd September 1292 King Edward I of England (age 53) stayed for two days at Burstwick Castle [Map] on his return from Scotland. During his stay visited Wyke, a small settlement on the River Hull. Edward ordered a survey of the site and within a few years purchased it from Meaux Abbey [Map]. By 1299, Wyke had been granted a royal charter and renamed King's Town upon Hull [Map] – the origins of the city we know today.
Around 1295 Richard Pole was born to William Pole (age 21) at Kingston upon Hull [Map]. He married (1) Mabilia Unknown and had issue (2) Joan Chaworth and had issue.
Around 1327 Margaret Pole was born to William Pole (age 25) and Katherine Norwich (age 21) at Kingston upon Hull [Map]. She married Robert Neville and had issue.
On 13th December 1328 William Pole (age 54) died at Kingston upon Hull [Map].
Around 1337 Edmund de la Pole was born to William Pole (age 35) and Katherine Norwich (age 31) at Kingston upon Hull [Map].
Around 1339 Catherine Pole was born to William Pole (age 37) and Katherine Norwich (age 33) at Kingston upon Hull [Map]. She married before 1353 Constantine Clifton of Buckenham and had issue.
In 1356 Philippa Pole Baroness Burnell was born to Michael de la Pole 1st Earl Suffolk (age 26) and Katherine Wingfield Countess Suffolk (age 16) at Kingston upon Hull [Map]. She married 1375 Hugh Burnell 2nd Baron Burnell, son of Nicholas Haudlo Burnell 1st Baron Burnell, and had issue.
Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses
Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

In 1388 Margaret Pole was born to Walter Pole (age 16) and Elizabeth Bradeston (age 14) at Kingston upon Hull [Map]. She married Thomas Ingaldsthorpe and had issue.
Chronicle of Gregory. Then the Quene (age 30) havynge knowelechynge of this praty whyle sche sende unto the Duke of Somersett (age 24), at that tyme beynge in Dorset schyre at the Castelle of Corffe [Map], and for the Erle of Devyschyre (age 28), and for Elysaundyr Hody, and prayde them to com to her as hastely as they might, with her tenantys as strong in her harnys as men of warre, for the Lord Rosse (age 33), the Lord Clyfforde (age 25), the Baron of Grestocke (age 46), the Lord Nevyle (age 50), the Lord Latymer (age 53), were waytyng a-pon the Duke of Excete[r] (age 30) to mete with her at Hulle [Map]. And this mater was not taryd but full prevely i-wrought; and she sende letters unto alle her ehyffe offycers that they wold doo the same, and that they shulde warne alle the servantys that lovyd her or purposyd to kepe and rejoyse her of Yysce, to wayte a-pon her at Hulle by that day as hit a-poyntyd by hyr. Alle thes pepylle were gaderyd and conveyde so prevely that they wer hole in nombyr of xvM [Note. 15000] or any man wolde be-leve it; in so moche yf any man said, or tolde, or talkyd of suche gaderyng, he shulde be schende, and some were in grete donger, for the common pepylle said by thoo that told the, troughthe, "Ye talke ryght ye wolde hit were," and gave noo credens of her sayynge. But the laste the lordys purposyd to knowe the troughthe. And the ix day of December [1460] nexte folowyng the Duke of Yorke (age 49), the Erle of Salysbury (age 60), the Erle Rutlond (age 17) (he was the Duke of Yorke is secunde sone, one the beste dysposyd lord in this londe), and Syr Thomas Haryngdon (age 60), whythe many mo knyghtys and quyers and grete pepylle with hem, and soo departyd out of London towarde Yorke, &c.

On 1st March 1637 Bishop Thomas Watson was born in Kingston upon Hull [Map].
In 1688 Michael Wharton and Lord Danby (age 55) secured Kingston upon Hull [Map] for the Prince of Orange (age 37) during the Glorious Revolution.
John Evelyn's Diary. 2nd December 1688. Dr. Tenison (age 52) preached at St. Martin's [Map] on Psalm xxxvi. 5, 6, 7, concerning Providence. I received the blessed Sacrament. Afterward, visited my Lord Godolphin (age 43), then going with the Marquis of Halifax (age 55) and Earl of Nottingham (age 41) as Commissioners to the Prince of Orange (age 38); he told me they had little power. Plymouth, Devon [Map] declared for the Prince. Bath, Somerset [Map], York [Map], Hull [Map], Bristol, Gloucestershire [Map], and all the eminent nobility and persons of quality through England, declare for the Protestant religion and laws, and go to meet the Prince, who every day sets forth new Declarations against the Papists. The great favorites at Court, Priests and Jesuits, fly or abscond. Everything, till now concealed, flies abroad in public print, and is cried about the streets. Expectation of the Prince coming to Oxford, Oxfordshire [Map]. The Prince of Wales and great treasure sent privily to Portsmouth, Hampshire [Map], the Earl of Dover (age 52) being Governor. Address from the Fleet not grateful to his Majesty (age 55). The Papists in offices lay down their commissions, and fly. Universal consternation among them; it looks like a revolution.
On 26th May 1722 Lucy Watson was born to Samuel Watson (age 42) at Kingston upon Hull [Map]. She married 28th November 1753 John Thornton of Clapham.
The River Hull rises near Driffield [Map] being formed from a number of streams and becks after which it flows past Wansford, East Yorkshire [Map], Brigham, East Yorkshire [Map], under Bethell's Bridge [Map] then Weel, East Yorkshire [Map] on the outskirts of Beverley [Map] after which it flows to Kingston upon Hull [Map] where it joins the Humber Estuary.
On 6th July 1537 Robert Constable (age 59) was hanged in chains from the Beverley Gate in Kingston upon Hull witnessed by Thomas Howard 3rd Duke Norfolk (age 64).
Chronicle of Abbot Ralph of Coggeshall

Chronicle of Edward Hall [1496-1548]. 2nd June 1537 In June the lord Darcy (age 70) and the lord Hosey [Map] were arraigned at Westminster before the Marques of Exceter (age 41), then High Steward of England, and they were both found guilty and had their judgement as in cases of high treason.
After 2nd June 1537. Shortly after were also arraigned Sir Robert Constable (age 59), Sir Thomas Percy (deceased), Sir Fraunces Bygod (deceased), Sir Stephin Hamelton, Sir Jhon Bulmer and his wife (deceased), which some reported was not his wife but his paramour, also William Lumley, Nicholas Tempest (age 57), and the Abbots of Jerney (deceased) and Rivers, and Robert Aske (age 37), and all found guilty of high treason, and all put to death at Tiborne [Map], saving Sir Robert Constable, which was hanged in chains on Beverley gate at Hull and Aske was also hanged in chains in Yorke on a Tower, and Sir John Bulmer's Paramour, was burned in Smithfclde [Map] in London. And in the latter end of June, was the Lord Darcy beheaded at Tower Hill [Map], and shortly after was the Lord Hosey beheaded at Lyncolne [Map].

Elsie Salomon: In 1881 she was born to Gustav Salomon of New York. On 31st July 1889 Joseph Duveen 1st Baron Duveen and she were married. Dollar Princess. In 1963 she died.

Maria de Bittencourt Countess of Lisburne: she was born to Don Julio Fermine Albert de Bittencourt. On 16th July 1914 Ernest Vaughan 7th Earl of Lisburne and she were married.
