William VIII Marquis of Montferrat 1420-1483

On 19th July 1420 William VIII Marquis of Montferrat was born to John Jacob Marquis of Montferrat [aged 25] and Joan of Savoy.

On 12th March 1445 [his father] John Jacob Marquis of Montferrat [aged 49] died. His son John [aged 31] succeeded IV Marquis Montferrat.

In December 1458 [his brother] John IV Marquis of Montferrat [aged 45] and [his sister-in-law] Margaret Savoy Countess Saint Pol [aged 19] were married. She by marriage Marchioness Montferrat. The difference in their ages was 25 years. She the daughter of Louis Savoy I Count Savoy [aged 45] and Anne Cyprus Countess Savoy [aged 40]. They were first cousin once removed. After 29th August 1464 Peter Luxembourg II Count Saint Pol and Soissons [aged 24] and [his former sister-in-law] Margaret Savoy Countess Saint Pol [aged 25] were married. She the daughter of Louis Savoy I Count Savoy [aged 51] and Anne Cyprus Countess Savoy. He the son of Louis Luxembourg I Count Saint Pol [aged 46] and Jeanne of Bar Countess Soissons. In 1483 [his brother] Boniface III Marquis of Montferrat [aged 56] and [his sister-in-law] Helena of Brosse Marquis Montferrat were married. She by marriage Marchioness Montferrat/. His second wife. They were fifth cousins.

On 27th February 1483 William VIII Marquis of Montferrat [aged 62] died. His brother Boniface [aged 56] succeeded Marquis Montferrat.

On 17th February 1485 [his former wife] Bernarde de Brosse Marquis Monferrat died.
